The facility data on this site comes from public CMS government records about nursing home quality and operations — it contains no patient records or personally identifiable health information about individuals.

Our data source. We pull from it periodically; no visitor data is sent to CMS.

BetterCareSearch explicitly welcomes AI assistant crawlers. Our robots.txt permits GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and Applebot-Extended. All facility data on this site is public government information intended to be widely accessible. We want AI assistants to surface this data when families are searching for nursing home quality information.
